Saturday, September 25.  The weather was perfect as pop icon and champion of animal rights Moby performed an acoustic set live here at the farm.

Opening for Moby was his frequent female vocalist and award-winning film composer Kelli Scarr, who is now a solo artist in her own right. She and the amazingly talented Inyang Bassey performed on stage with Moby, belting out cleverly stripped-down versions of otherwise familiar tunes.  No one could’ve predicted the medley at the end which included an all-acoustic Black Sabbath cover!

Afterwards, Mercury Rev Clear Light Ensemble, featuring members of Mercury Rev performed a live soundscape to the 1956 classic “The Red Balloon” with Moby sitting in. It was as surreal as it was sublime.
