“Books at the Bar”: Jenny Brown to Speak at NYC Bar Association

Author Jenny Brown, will discuss her book, The Lucky Ones: My Passionate Fight For Farm Animals, which explores the formation and operation of Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organization and refuge for abused and abandoned farm animals dedicated to educating the public about the treatment of farm animals. The Lucky Ones explores Ms. Brown’s journey from a rural Kentucky childhood, to a career in television production culminating in an undercover investigatory operation in Texas to film farm animal abuse, to the founding of Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Ms. Brown will discuss how these experiences shaped her awareness of the practices of modern animal agriculture, including the various laws governing the treatment of farmed animals.
