We welcome visitors to come and meet animals who are most commonly exploited, abused, and killed in animal agriculture. Our animal residents are given lifelong sanctuary and are treated with respect as individuals. By giving farmed animals the chance to live their lives with dignity and by sharing their stories, we advocate for veganism and aim to reduce suffering for all.Job OverviewThe Development Coordinator will report to the Development Director and will work closely other administrative staff. This position supports all aspects of fundraising with a focus on donor engagement and stewardship. The Development Coordinator will coordinate the membership drives, monthly donor program, thank you processes, and phone banks. This position also assists with annual fund mailings and major giving, with an opportunity for growth in both areas. This position is responsible for $500,000 in revenue.Key Responsibilities Include:-Coordinates all aspects of the membership drives, monthly donor program, and phone banks to achieve revenue targets.-Creates new stewardship programs for donors and maintains current system, which includes writing special thank you emails for donors of campaigns, sending out holiday cards, and inviting people up to visit.-Manages all aspects of stewardship for The Gray Barn visitors. The Gray Barn is our on-site inn.-Responsible for stewardship of all tour attendees and fundraising initiatives to turn tour attendees into lifelong donors.-Works in conjunction with key staff to hold tours for mid-level donors throughout tour season and works to hit goals for middle donor revenue.-Lead for phone banks and thank-a-thons.-Creation of all online forms for fundraising initiatives across the department. Additional Responsibilities Include:-Fulfills all deliverables for gifts such as acknowledgements, thank you calls, and mailed packages.-Works with other development team members to enter gifts into system.-Coordinates printing, list cleaning, and letter sending for direct mail campaigns.-Answers development related phone calls and emails to the general line.-Assists at on site events where donors will be present, which will require some weekend work.This position requires standing and sitting for hours at a time, interacting with farmed animals, and moving around the large Sanctuary property for tours, events, and donor visits. Some weekend or night hours may be required as well as additional responsibilities based on skill set.
