NYC Worldwide Bake Sale Author: Doug Abel | Monday, April 19, 2010 | No comments APRIL 25: Sharpen your sweet tooth because there is an off-the-charts insanely delicious vegan dessert event going on this weekend. And it will benefit a farm with lots of sweet animals … us! If you’re not familiar with the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale phenomena, check out their website — over 100 venues participated last year, and the proceeds went to different causes around the globe. We are generously being hosted at Moo Shoes, located at 78 Orchard Street on April 25, from 12-5 pm (or until the goods run out). It will be a combination of a party, a dessert smackdown, shoe sale, SWAG-giveaway and — after all that sugar — who knows what else! Over 200 people have confirmed they’re coming — and it’s FREE to attend. Stock up on a variety of vegan baked goods including cheesecake, twinkies and more — and visit the Woodstock table to sponsor an animal for a year and find out more about the great work we do. The outstanding all-vegan chocolate shop Cocoa V will be donating some of their goodies, as will Babycakes! Just writing about it we can feel our collective thighs get bigger… but happier! This event was put together by Lisa Coulson of Panda With Cookie and celebrity chef Isa Chandra Moskowitz — and Isa’s Post Punk Kitchen posse will be there in force! Also, Moo Shoes will be donating 10% of all in store and online sales to Woodstock that day, making a great day to shop! Go here for info… Sign up here to contribute a dessert.
