REIMBURSEMENT

We offer a $100 cost of living reimbursement to all interns working their scheduled 31-40hrs work-week.  This reimbursement is paid out on a bi-weekly cycle (every other Tuesday).  We understand that illnesses and other unforeseen difficulties can affect availability, so the reimbursement is tiered as follows:

31-40hrs worked in a week = $100
20-30hrs worked in a week = $50
0-19hrs worked in a week = $0

MEALS

Interns are responsible for buying and preparing their own food.

HOUSING

Housing is available on-site for interns who cannot commute.  Housing is communal and occasionally co-ed.  Companion animals are not permitted.

VEGAN LIVING

Out of respect for the animals and the work that WFS does, all staff and interns are required to maintain a plant-based (aka vegan) diet while on sanctuary grounds. Shared kitchen facilities are available. Food markets and restaurants are within a 15-minute drive.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

*Part-time schedules may be considered.  If you are interested in a shortened session length, please note that on your application.  We will try to accommodate these requests if/when they make sense for us (n.b. there is a 1 month minimum).  The aforementioned reimbursement tiers will be used to determine what, if any, reimbursement will be offered part-timers.  Housing will not be provided to any part-timer scheduled to work less than 30hrs per week.  Please contact interns@woodstocksanctuary.org to inquire.

For additional questions about our Internship Program, please email us at interns@woodstocksanctuary.org.
