Woodstock Farm Sanctuary has been called on to rescue and shelter six pigs, five sheep, and nine goats from a horrific cruelty case.

A man had bought them and dozens of other animals at live auctions and was keeping them to slaughter them for his Mexican food restaurant.

The conditions they were being kept in were squalid and they were allowed to breed so many of the animals being rescued are pregnant or with babies.

As you know, we just moved so we were able to say yes to save some of the many who are being seized by local SPCA officials.

But we didn’t plan on taking in more animals this year. Our immediate veterinary costs are estimated to be about $8,500 and we are building new fencing for the pigs which will be around $4,000. We sent staff and trucks up on Saturday October 10th to assist with the rescue and transport which was also costly. And we have immediate food needs including special food for some baby pigs and goats who are without their mothers. It’s also necessary to neuter the un-neutered males so as we stop the cycle of breeding.

Our immediate emergency costs are $23,500. We did not budget for this.

Can you please help today?
