Ari

Ari

Ari smiles for the camera moments after arriving at his new home.

A fraternal lodge in New Jersey was raising Ari to be killed for a “pig roast.” Luckily he escaped somehow—maybe someone felt mercy and let him out the door. He ran through the woods, just a 10-week-old baby scared and alone, until a wildlife rehabber was able to catch him and take him to the local shelter. There, they cared for him while we arranged for veterinary inspection so Ari could cross state lines.

AriWhen Ari arrived at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, he was still a bit shy and scared. He has quickly realized, though, that he is safe and that we won’t hurt him. He is warming up to love and attention and is already becoming quite the playful piglet!
