Opening Day:
Record Attendance
Dylan Greeted Visitors
Visit the farm
If our first weekend was any indication, this is going to be the most incredible season ever for the animals and the advocacy work we do. Opening day had us going from 0-60, greeting all the curious and open-hearted visitors who streamed
thru the gates. We are thrilled at the prospect of making so many new friends for animal-kind!

Volunteers are especially needed in spring but are welcome 365 days a year -- no need to wait for the weekend to get a real workout lifting cowpies and hay!

Victor
Goodbye Sweet Victor

Recently we said goodbye to our beloved goat friend Victor, who lost his battle to liver disease.

Victor was known by all as the regal, handsome, horned leader of the pack who would do just about anything for a treat or attention. He was rescued from a dairy farm in Pennsylvania that, like other goat dairy operations, had no use for males since they don't produce milk.

Peter the PigUpdate on Peter the Pig
Dozens have written in to find out if Peter, the rescued "Dunkin-Donut-fed" pig, has regained his ability to walk (see video of his arrival).

Last week he was transported to Cornell University's Large Animal Hospital and we had a series of x-rays made to look for hip dysplasia, spinal issues or other bone trauma.  The good news is there is no evidence of any of that and with good diet, expercise and continued love and attention he should eventually be able to walk properly.

The GoodSearch Giveaway - Three Days Only!

GoodShop Toolbar

The nice folks at GoodSearch/GoodShop have created a free toolbar for Firefox and Explorer that automatically donates a percentage of your purchases at over 1,300 stores to WFAS.  It works in the background, so there's nothing for you to do except buy stuff online as you normally would.

As an incentive to try it, GoodSearch will donate a $1 bonus to us for every toolbar that is downloaded between April 6th at 9am EST and April 9th at 9am EST -- up to $5,000!! If you end up not liking it you can always remove it, but please don't miss this opportunity to make some easy cash for the farm critters.  And of course if you continue to use the toolbar in the future, we'll continue to make a percentage of your purchases -- the gift that keeps on giving!

Please hurry and do this now so that we can earn the $1 bonus per toolbar!

And, please pass this along to all of your friends. The two minutes it takes to add this toolbar to your browser can make a lifetime of difference for our cause!
