Due to the overwhelming generosity of our anonymous donor, from now until the end of July every donation made to WFAS will be doubled -- beyond our original goal of $50,000 -- up to a new goal of $100,000!
That means up to $200,000 for our grassroots work and care of our 200+ farm animal residents! This will make a serious dent in our half-a-million dollar a year operating budget.
We truly rely on you, our wonderful supporters, to make our important work possible. Now is a GREAT time to give!
TV News Covers Our Animals Coping with Heat Wave

Our staff has been working even harder than ever, in all this heat, to keep our animals cool and hydrated. Local news channel YNN's Beth Croughan produced a story about it
and inspired lots of volunteers to come and help do things like hose down the pigs and rig up extra shade sources. Thanks, Beth -- and YNN -- and all the helpers!
Forget About Misbehaving Generals...
We're in ROLLING STONE!

rehabilitating and caring for farm animal refugees -- as well as
educating the public about the horrific treatment of animals in modern-day animal agriculture, and the many benefits of a vegetable-based diet.
Thank you so much for your support!
As part of our amazing new Summer Concert Series, we are honored to have Sean Lennon and his partner Charlotte
Kemp Muhl's new band, Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, performing a benefit show at the Sanctuary on 8/21. Sean and Charlotte have a sound that is both fresh and modern while hearkening back the heyday of Serge
Gainsbourg. Their first single was just released and can be heard at the Chimera Music website.
Tickets go on sale via our website in the coming weeks so stay tuned -- our eMoosletter subscribers will find out about it first! Many thanks to our awesome supporter and friend Jason Fine for making this (and our last concert with Chrissie Hynde) a reality.

We have lots of animals for adoption, but these are in particular need:
Our most recent rescues, Timmy & Tommy are two very handsome, young and super-friendly Heritage Bronze turkeys who need a home. Mail-ordered from a hatchery, the Two T's were raised and then allowed to roam a busy residential neighborhood, occasionally dodging cars and a hunter who told other residents he planned to use them as bow and arrow target practice. Now safe within the pastures of WFAS, these 2 very social birds are looking for the perfect permanent home.
We're assisting in placing two goats who are living in Kerhonkson, NY, and must be removed from the current farm ASAP due to a death in the family. They are 2-year-old females and very friendly.
Please CONTACT US if you're interested in adopting these or any of our other critters.
