Moby Plays Woodstock
Sublime and Surreal
Musician Moby and friends play WFAS!

The weather was perfect as pop icon and champion of animal rights Moby performed an acoustic set live here at the farm. Opening for Moby was his frequent female vocalist and award-winning film composer Kelli Scarr, who is now a solo artist in her own right. She and the amazingly talented Inyang Bassey performed on stage with Moby, belting out cleverly stripped-down versions of otherwise familiar tunes. No one could've predicted the medley at the end which included an all-acoustic Black Sabbath cover!  >>Read More

Read a great article by John Barry about the concert series, and an interview with Moby.

Mark your calendars for our next show, this one indoors at Helsinki in Hudson, NY, on November 12: ELVIS PERKINS and TRACY BONHAM

 Blessing of the Animals

SUNDAY OCT 3: Imagine the Burning Man festival crossed with a Native American ritual, add in a puppet show, drum circle and a bonfire -- and then dozens of other companion animals like dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, rodents, plus over 200 rescued farm animals -- and you have our 2010 BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS!

This is the one day we set up the farm to welcome well-behaved companion animals like dogs and cats (on leashes or in carriers). The noted environmentalist and wild wolf activist Elke Duerr will officiate the ceremony.

Peter and the WolfAs a special treat this year we're thrilled that the Redwing Blackbird Theater will perform their alternative version of the traditional PETER AND THE WOLF tale. And the Ulster County SPCA will be there too, with an adoption info table. The weather is predicted to be swell, the leaves are lovely, we've got delicious Field Roast sausages and corn to grill and Teany beverages to drink, so get your bootie up here!  >>FULL DETAILS
