Lambs Welcomed to Woodstock Sanctuary Wednesday, June 21, 2017 There are two sweet little lambs at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary this week. Jolene and Tammy are exploring their pasture, always staying tight and close to each other for comfort, but tasting all the sweet grasses and flowers they find. Jolene and Tammy came from a woman who had a long history of animal hoarding and abuse. For more than 12 years, too many animals suffered neglect in her hands. After she bought these two little girls though, she passed away and the babies were spared a life of neglect. Tammy, the little white lamb, is a little bit bolder and bigger than Jolene. They both were probably bought at a live animal market and separated from their mothers really young so they are bonded closely together. Jolene and Tammy are in quarantine while we go through our routine checks for parasites, lice, and disease. They’ll be able to be introduced to the rest of the herd once they are medically cleared and they will live with a sense of belonging and peace with their new family. It’s because of your support that we were able to say yes to these two. Help us care for Tammy and Jolene and give them the lives they deserve. Thank you for saving Jolene and Tammy and allowing us to give them a home, safe and free for their whole lives.
