There was no shortage of Halloween spirit to be found at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary on Sunday, October 30. More than 1,000 people from across the tristate area came dressed in costume to celebrate the close of the 2016 visiting season at our first ever family fall festival, HalloWoodstock.

Astronauts, fairies, and Superman were among the many who mingled with our cows, goats, turkeys, and 350 other rescued farmed animals. Friends and family participated in festive activities throughout the day, including trick-or-treating for vegan candies in each of our animal barns; taking hayrides around the Sanctuary property; and painting adorable animal-themed pumpkins with Paws 4 Cause.

hallowoodstockHot chocolate, apple cider, desserts, and other delicious vegan eats were enjoyed by all thanks to our award-winning food vendors: The Bunnoli, Fogwood & Fig, Gone Pie Bakery, Lagusta’s Luscious, Monk’s Food Co., Peaceful Provisions, Riverdel, Samosa Shack, Yeah Dawg!!!, and Vegie Oasis.

The Sanctuary raised nearly $14,000, all of which goes directly towards continuing our rescue, shelter and outreach work for farmed animals. Thank you to all who visited and participated! We’ll see you in April for our 2017 tour season.
