NYC Pride March 2018 Recap Tuesday, June 26, 2018 Woodstock Farm Sanctuary was out and proud for a second year in a row at NYC Pride March. We marched with and alongside our LGBTQ+ Board members, staff, supporters, and volunteers who are part of our compassionate and diverse community. With our contingent of nearly 40 vegan activists, we handed out over 5,000 flyers to educate spectators about the devastating dairy industry and encourage spectators to pledge to eliminate dairy products from their diets. Our contingent was led by Woodstock Farm Sanctuary’s executive director Rachel McCrystal, Board Vice President Dr. Ethan Ciment and his husband Michael Suchman (the Vegan Mos), and marchers from VoNY (Vegans of New York) and co-founders Jill Carnegie and Marc S Wood. We were joined by sanctuary staff members, volunteers, and vegan community leaders and activists. Woodstock Farm Sanctuary was honored to participate in this year’s March as we continue our work to build a peaceful world rooted in respect and justice for our LGBTQ+ community and all living beings.
