Donor Privacy Policy for Woodstock Farm Sanctuary

This policy applies to the donor activities of Woodstock Sanctuary including any mailings, communications, and the website property of The policy covers the activities of designated representatives of Woodstock Sanctuary including board members and staff.

Woodstock Sanctuary follows the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Donor Bill of Rights.

Woodstock Sanctuary collects personally identifiable information from donors for the purpose of communications and maintaining accurate donation records. That information is in a secure database and is not shared with anyone apart from designated representatives and will not be shared with any other organization or entity outside of Woodstock Sanctuary. Woodstock Sanctuary does not sell personally identifiable information collected from donors.

If this policy changes, Woodstock Sanctuary will give donors an opt-out option to withhold any information on an annual basis.
Woodstock Sanctuary will never publish the names of donors in physical or web listings unless permission is explicitly given by the donor. In that circumstance, preferred recognition name will be solicited. Possible reasons for publication include annual report listings, donor walls, or event publications.

Donors to Woodstock Sanctuary can request that they receive no communication from the organization or limited communication (by frequency or method). Such requests can be sent via mail, email, or made over the phone to Woodstock Sanctuary and are noted immediately.Woodstock Sanctuary values the security and privacy of its donors. Credit card information is not retained in hard or electronic copy. Any physical record with sensitive data are shredded within 24 hours of processing. Woodstock Sanctuary, through its third-party payment services, uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) online technology or industry standard security measures and encryption technology.
