Recap: HalloWoodstock 2017 Monday, November 06, 2017 On Saturday, October 28th, more than 1,200 of our friends and supporters came out (many in awesome and incredible costumes!) for our 2nd annual family fall festival, HalloWoodstock! Visitors could take part in information sessions about the rescued animals throughout the day with caregiver Hervé and Andie, our humane educator, at our barns and outside of the pastures, where our rescued residents roamed and enjoyed the last warm day of the season! We also had an incredible lineup of vendors including newcomers to the Sanctuary ArtisaDough, Brewing Good, and Bunny Treats, and some of our vegan food favorites from NYC and the Hudson Valley: Adelina’s, Monk’s Vegan Smoke House, Commissary!, Gone Pie, Screamer’s Pizza, Yeah Dawg!!!, and even more! Some visitors (and some of our rescued chickens and turkeys) chilled out and listened to tunes by James Mongan/Star Children and ANKER. We were also joined by a few of our awesome Pasture Partners — Homestead Body and Chickpea and Olive. A huge thank you to all of the visitors, vendors, and staff that made this weekend’s HalloWoodstock a huge success. All of the money raised from the event goes directly back to the animals and our work on behalf of farmed animals everywhere. This weekend also marked the end of our 2017 visitor season, so we’ll see you all in 2018 for another year of Sanctuary tours and events! >>Check out some more of the great costumes here<< After the festival, our rescued pigs like Antonio and Amelia got to enjoy the leftover pumpkins! Antonio enjoys a pumpkin on Halloween!
