Why Woodstock: Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is the largest single giving day of the year! With 400 animals in our care and another year of rescue and advocacy ahead, we need to know we can count on your support. Will you donate to Woodstock Sanctuary this year? Let us know you’re in:

P.S. you’ll be the first to hear some exciting news on Giving Tuesday!

In a world where attention is divided and causes are plentiful, it is more important than ever that we know we can count on your support during these critical giving days.

At Woodstock Sanctuary we are committed to providing lifelong care and sanctuary for our 400 rescued farmed animals residents, but our impact extends far beyond the gates of the sanctuary. Thanks to our donors and supporters, we were able to rescue and provide sanctuary for 34 new animals this year. When we rescue animals, we typically fundraise for any immediate vet and care costs, but that doesn't always account for the supplies, transport costs, or the lifetime of care costs required after they arrive. Holidays like Giving Tuesday help ensure that we can raise these essential shelter operating funds.

With every new rescue, we are able to reach millions of people online with their stories, touching hearts and transforming lives. This year we’ve welcomed over 3,000 visitors to the sanctuary for educational tours and continued our petition to end the Dairy Cow Birthing Center at the New York State Fair, collecting over 12,000 petition signatures.

Our progress for farmed animals this year is made possible only because of the support and donations we receive. Please help us continue our work for farmed animals!

All donations made this Giving Tuesday will be MATCHED.

Please let us know we can count on your support!
