Dixie
Dixie was rescued from a large-scale neglect case in upstate New York along with 60 other farmed animals. Forced to live inside a crammed barn without proper access to food or water, Dixie, her mother Marin, Madeline and her son Bowie were part of the group liberated by Farm Sanctuary who came to live at Woodstock Sanctuary.
Sadly, Madeline and Marin are no longer with us, but Marin’s boldness and familiar face live on in Dixie. Dixie’s short in stature but her sweetness makes her unforgettable.
