Amelia
In 2012, a piglet was found wandering around on her own and was fortunately brought to an animal shelter in upstate New York. She then found her forever home at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, where we named this sweet girl Amelia. Amelia truly blossomed and she bonded with the other rescued pigs quite quickly.
In 2018, she was diagnosed with a mass on her ovaries and uterus - she needed surgery and was at risk due to her age. But Amelia is a fighter, and thankfully the surgery went well. She has since made a full recovery, and you can now find her enjoying her days in the senior pig barn with her best friend Curly. Amelia has a heart of gold and her sweet, kind eyes make her hard to forget.
