A dinner in support of rescued animals

Please join us for a 7 PM Friday night fundraiser dinner at Miss Rachel's Pantry! Our 5-course meal will begin with our famous biscuits, highlight some of our very favorite ingredients, and end with a homemade sweet to take home after dessert. $120 from each table will benefit Woodstock Farm Sanctuary

Event Details

The menu will be set without options. Note we use a lot of common allergens in our kitchen, and therefore cannot accommodate a cashew, soy or coconut allergy at this time. Let us know if you have any other food allergies, and we will notify you ahead of time if we are able to accommodate. 

Our dining room is all two-seater tables. If you have a larger party, you will purchase multiple tables of two, and we will make sure that you are seated as a group. For example, if you have a party of four, you will purchase two tables. 

By purchasing a table, you are committed to this particular date. You may certainly give the seats to a friend if you cannot attend. Please see the dinner cancellation policy!

Help us make the cow barn and pasture extra clean and cozy!

Join us for a volunteer day in the cow barn! We’ll be doing a deep clean of the cow barn, providing fresh bedding, and doing some spot cleaning in their pastures. This will be a group effort, so bring a friend! We look forward to making the cows extra happy with your help.

We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary!

That’s two decades of sanctuary, care, and rescue. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s made the last 20 years possible, and to celebrate, we’re throwing an epic birthday party!

Join us for a family friendly day of vegan food from local vendors like Yeah Dawg, Samosa Shack, Aba’s Falafel, Little Loaf Bakeshop, Matcha Thomas, Hole in the Wall Donuts, Pixie Floss (and more!), rescued farmed animals, and lots of fun surprises. We have so much to celebrate — not just what we’ve accomplished over the last 20 years, but what’s still to come. Make the aviary more fun for our rescued guinea fowl!

With the arrival of Spring comes Spring cleaning, and some remodeling in the guinea fowl aviary! We’ll be heading to the nearby woods to collect fallen branches and logs to decorate their home so they can explore and have fun perching around. Interested in putting your interior design skills to work? Join us!

Help prepare a cozy, clean barn for the pigs!

Join us for a volunteer day in the pig barn! Pigs like to keep their homes clean, so why not help them out with some spring cleaning? We’ll be doing a deep clean of the pig barn, providing fresh bedding, and doing some spot cleaning in their yards. This will be a group effort, so bring a friend! We look forward to making the pigs extra happy this spring with your help.

Join our Public Educational Tours

Walk around the Sanctuary on a guided tour and meet some of the nearly 400 rescued animals who call Woodstock Sanctuary home, visit our Sanctuary Store, and learn more about our mission!

Please read the following carefully before purchasing your ticket: 

• Tour tickets are very limited. Walk-in space on tours is not guaranteed and we often sell out in advance. Please purchase a ticket for every member of your party ahead of time and include names of each person attending in the space provided on the form.

• We recommend that those with children come to our 10am kid-friendly tour.

• Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for a different date. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Late arrivals will join the tour already in progress. 

• Tours will be held rain or shine, unless weather conditions are dangerous. Please include your cell phone number on the ticketing form so we can contact you regarding weather alerts or tour cancellations.

About the film

“The smell of money”—that’s what Big Pork calls the stench of pig waste in the air in eastern North Carolina, where much of the world’s bacon and barbecue is made. But to Elsie Herring and others who live near the state’s giant pig factories, the revolting odor is a call to battle against generations of injustice.

When a corporate hog farm moves in–uninvited–on land her grandfather had purchased after claiming his freedom from slavery, Elsie Herring decides to fight back. But as her rural community becomes the epicenter of the pork industry’s explosion in America, Elsie’s struggle to save her family’s home and heritage turns into a battle against one of the world’s most powerful companies and its deadly pollution.
