Jerry

In August 2025, Jerry the piglet wandered into a family’s yard, confused, alone, and covered with scrapes. Thankfully, this kind family wanted this baby to live and reached out to find him a new home. We had just rescued another piglet, who we named Suzy. We knew that Jerry, not only needed our help, but could be a great companion for Suzy as well. When this speckled piglet arrived, he was covered in scrapes and bruises, and we could tell right away that he was quite itchy and uncomfortable. We know he has a high count of parasites, which can be extremely dangerous, so we have been treating this and his skin abrasions. He is already scratching far less, and he is in good spirits. 

We are so thankful both piglets were able to get medical treatment immediately. Jerry is a bit older than Suzy, but still a fragile piglet. He is eager to explore the grassy pastures and even enjoyed his first dip in a pool! We are hopeful that we will be able to introduce Jerry and Suzy soon, when we have a clearer picture of their health. Stay tuned for any news of a developing friendship!
