Peppermint was rescued from a live-kill market on Long Island in November of 2022, along with Drew the turkey, who was destined to be slaughtered for the Thanksgiving holiday.

In October of 2022, we were contacted by an activist group in NYC who had saved the lives of two baby chickens from an annual religious ritual.

In December of 2023, we received a call about a young rooster in need of a home. This handsome roo, whom we have named Roxwell, was abandoned in the woods.

In July 2020, we rescued 13 chickens, who we would come to call The Highlanders, from severe neglect.

In May of 2020, we learned that a large egg facility in Iowa was going to kill nearly all 140,000 of their hens.

In December of 2019, Celeste was rescued along with 14 other chickens.

In August of 2019, we teamed up with Barn Sanctuary to rescue nearly 100 chickens from a nearby farm that was closing.
