The Star Flock

In spring of 2026, we learned of a flock of 11 hens in urgent need of help. These sweet chickens had been living in a private home, but when their caretaker became unable to care for them any longer, they were at risk. They were found free roaming the property in danger from predators as well as the elements. We were so thankful we had the space and resources to welcome them.

When we arrived on site, we were surprised to learn that there were actually 13 hens! Thankfully we were able to bring all 13 to safety. While the hens began to settle in, they received medical care for the first time in their lives. We've dubbed them the "Star Flock" and their names are: Nebula, Elara, Jupiter, Saturn, Helios, Zenon, Io, Himalia, Sinope, Ersa, Rhea, Phoebe and Pandora. We’re so grateful we were able to offer them a home here. This flock will know only love and care from now on.
