Our Harvest Picnic is just around the corner!
Exciting news…we’re just about a month away from our favorite event here at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, our annual Harvest Picnic!! Tickets are live, menu planning is underway, and the countdown clock is ticking. Will we see you there?
Our Harvest Picnic fundraiser is a festive vegan picnic set within one of our cow pastures, featuring music, games, raffle prizes, an open bar stocked with local wine, beer, and kombucha, and of course, time with our rescued animal residents. We look forward to this celebration of animal rescue and advocacy every year. It warms our hearts to see our incredible community come together over a shared compassion for farmed animals! Festivities kick off at 4pm on Saturday, September 27th…reserve your tickets today! Early bird ticket pricing is available until September! And like all Sanctuary events, your ticket supports the 300 rescued animals who call Woodstock Sanctuary home.
We can’t talk about the Harvest Picnic without mentioning the delicious meal itself! We’re delighted that Hudson Valley-based chef Gabrielle Grigoli is returning as our chef this year. Originally from Staten Island, Gabrielle’s cooking is influenced by the food she ate growing up, with a focus on the high-quality, locally grown, seasonal abundances the Hudson Valley has to offer. Gabrielle is best known locally for Gab’s Veg Table, a Kingston based vegan pop-up offering Italian deli inspired sandwiches and sides from 2021 to 2023. Currently, she is the head chef and kitchen manager for Little Loaf Bake Shop in New Paltz, and the chef of The Happy Cart, a free vegan food cart in Uptown Kingston sponsored by the Institute for Animal Happiness.
Gabrielle’s food is a Sanctuary staff favorite…our mouths practically water thinking about the menus she’s created for past Harvest Picnics! And, in our humble opinion, no meal is complete without dessert. Maresa Volante of the famed vegan bakery Sweet Maresa’s is generously providing an assortment of baked goods for dessert, complete with delectable chocolatey additions donated by New Paltz favorite Lagusta’s Luscious. Plus, we’re delighted to have a bar stocked by local sponsors! Whitecliff Vineyard (Gardiner and Hudson, NY) is donating wine, with beer provided by friends at Great Life Brewing (West Park, NY), and creatively flavored kombucha from Calmbucha (New Paltz, NY). And all of these drinks can be paired with some of our favorite vegan cheeses from our amazing neighbor, Treeline Cheese!
