Meet the Zombie Goats

New rescue alert! Our long-time friends Rob and Sheri Zombie rescued four goats from cases of cruelty and neglect, providing them a safe and loving sanctuary at their own home for years. However, as the goats are getting older and require certain levels of specialized care, we worked with Rob and Sheri to welcome them to their new home, here at Woodstock Sanctuary! Upon arriving, Claire, Ginger, Daisy, Ralphie all were very excited to walk and sniff around their temporary pasture while they get settled in. They’re currently situated next to some chicken neighbors and have been curious about the sounds they make. All four goats have been so friendly and absolutely love getting visits from the staff, often running up and asking for some gentle scratches or banana snacks. We’re so excited to take the next few months learning more about each individual goat’s personality and watch them thrive with one another in a new sanctuary setting. Want to see their arrival? While their current space is temporary, we’re very eager to start construction of their new home: The Zombie Barn. This project was only made possible by the generosity and support of the Zombies, and we can already imagine how exciting it will be for this little goat family to have their very own barn as well as a larger pasture for sun-soaking, grazing, and playing!

The Zombies have been animal activists and friends of ours for a long time, and we’re so thankful to them for believing in our mission as we provide the utmost love, care, and quality in taking care of this new goat family. This will be an unfolding story as we progress with not only the new barn but learning more about everyone! Stay tuned for updates!

Here’s to a new life at Woodstock, Zombie goats!
