The Peanuts

In June 2023, we welcomed three young potbelly pigs from a horrific neglect case in New Jersey. Eastern Snouts Pig Adoption informed us that over 50 pigs, along with several litters, crowded a property where they were being bred to feed exotic reptiles. The pigs experienced starvation, neglect, and uncertainty. We were able to rescue three pigs and, thankfully, the remaining potbellies were placed with other rescues.

Initially nervous around caregivers, their personalities soon began to shine. We call this trio the Peanuts — Snoopy, Schroeder, and Linus — and they have now gained some healthy weight and joined our older potbelly group. All three boys are extremely curious and friendly, particularly Snoopy, who loves to roll over and ask for a belly rub. Now that they can enjoy warm days in their pool and cool nights in the barn with plenty of healthy snacks, these boys can finally feel the safety they deserve.
