Franny
Franny was rescued in summer 2025, along with several other rabbits, from a neglectful hoarding situation in nearby Beacon, NY. Although authorities were contacted, no action was taken, and ReHeart Rescue stepped in to negotiate the surrender of these poor rabbits. At the time of her rescue, we believe she was about two years old. After providing thorough medical care, ReHeart Rescue (formerly Reenies Rabbit Rescue) began to search for a home for these special bunnies.
Around this time, our beloved gentle giant rabbit Alberta had passed away, leaving her companion Frankie alone at Woodstock Sanctuary. We were so heartbroken and concerned for Frankie, because he loved his friend dearly. Frankie was visibly depressed and not interested in food or any of his regular activities. When we reached out to ReHeart to see if they had a potential companion for Frankie, they thought of Franny right away! She is such a calm and sweet little bunny, and we are hopeful these two will get to know one another and bond. Rabbit introductions can be very challenging, so we are taking things slow right now. Be sure to check in on this developing friendship.
