Bonnie

In July 2026, we learned of a small goat in need of immediate help. We knew we had to provide this special baby with a home right away. Bonnie was only a few months old when she was dumped on Jones Beach on Long Island. Someone had abused her then abandoned her there. Little Bonnie was immediately started on antibiotics and given medication for her pain before making the journey to safety in sanctuary.

Bonnie has been through so much, but she is adjusting well and is even starting to make friends! Shortly before her rescue, we had welcomed another little goat, who we named Hobbes. Bonnie and Hobbes are almost the exact same age and have been getting up to all kinds of baby goat mischief together while they both heal from their respective ordeals and adjust to sanctuary life. They have been grazing and exploring outside, and they recently made the move to the big goat barn to begin the process of meeting their new herd!
