Harper
In the fall of 2015, multiple sanctuaries rescued over 120 animals from a backyard butcher in Montgomery, New York. These poor animals were kept in horrendous conditions — crammed in barns with little to no food. Woodstock Sanctuary took in five sheep, six pigs, and nine goats. Most of the goats had pneumonia, lice, and worms and little did we know, a few were also pregnant. Stella the goat came to us from this rescue and in February 2016, she gave birth to two healthy babies, Harper and Atticus.
Harper loves to be with her goat friends and wander out far on the pasture to graze. She was born into sanctuary meaning she will never know a life of harm, neglect, or abuse. She has such beautiful and recognizable markings and is one of the first goats to (politely) approach our Gray Barn guests.
