Dionne

In January of 2021, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary responded to a severe neglect case at a farm near Albany. When we arrived, we found animals locked in small, freezing sheds with no access to water. Dionne was rescued with more than 50 others, including two of her turkey friends, Cher and Tai.

Now that Dionne is living at Woodstock Sanctuary, her bold and outgoing personality really shines! Dionne is incredibly sweet and loves to rest on caregivers’ laps. Like all turkeys, she is intelligent and very social. She enjoys her days living alongside her friends, Tai and Cher. In 2026, this trio was joined by a bold, talkative turkey named Zillah. So far, the girls have really made him feel welcome in their little flock.
